The Yahoo! Eurosport UK website is reporting that Walter Kafitz, Nürburgring GmbH CEO, has recently brushed off speculation that a possible street circuit in Berlin or Hamburg could threaten the future of Grand Prix racing at the Ring. Responding to the suggestion, he said, “Formula One races in cities are more expensive than at race tracks, and Formula One is already expensive enough. Quite apart from the cost, it would be almost impossible to obtain the necessary approvals.”
