An Australian view on the Nürburgring Nordschleife

Renault Sport prepares to fight back

April 24th, 2014 Posted in Lap times, Renault

In early March a new “record” for the fastest front-wheel drive around the Nordschleife was set when the Seat Leon Cupra 280 set a 7:58 lap time. That bettered the longstanding mark set by Renault with the Megane RS 265.

It would appear Renault is not going to take Seat’s effort lying down and has given itself two months to go #under8, as evidenced by a recent Facebook post from Renault Sport. We suspect this will be courtesy of a limited edition Megane RS of some sort, but will let you know when the bullshit stops.
