Aussie V8 ready to excite Nürburgring locals

Mal Rose Racing at the Nurburgring 24 hour race

Around this time next week the 36th running of the Nürburgring 24 hour race will be nearing completion. German website GT-Eins has a few snippets of news in the lead up to the race and Australia’s Mal Rose has been featured. Mal will be racing a ‘new’ VY Commodore V8 Supercar in this year’s race. Judging by Mal’s previous exploits at the Ring, the locals love the rumbling symphony of a V8 Supercar through the Eifel mountains around the Nordschleife. Here is the translated text from the German article:

“Another exotic is the Holden Commodore, which first appeared in 2006 and again finds its way to the Eifel region with Australian Mal Rose. The vehicle which was originally built for the Australian V8 Supercar championship has already found many fans around the ‘Nordschleife’. This year Mal Rose, Peter Leemhuis and Anthony Alford will share the driving duties in the V8 racing car.”
