Renault Megane R26.R claims fastest FWD Nürburgring time

I hope you enjoy this video of the new Renault Megane R26.R—claimed, by Renault, to be the fastest front wheel drive production car around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Its time of 8 minutes 16.9 seconds is certainly very tidy when compared to others. For example, a BMW M5 E60 at the hands of Horst von Saurma clocked a time of 8:13. An R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R lapped in 8:22. Audi’s V8 RS4 is not too far ahead at 8:09 and the previous model BMW M3 E46 could only manage 8:22. Damn impressive from the feisty Renault then.
