Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400
January 26th, 2008 Posted in Aston Martin
The latest Aston Martin to roll off the production line has been released. The N400 is the first car from Aston since its sale from Ford and will be limited to just 480 cars, split evenly between roadsters and coupes. Built in celebration of the V8 Vantage N24′s participation in the Nurburgring 24 Hour race, the N400 will have a 400bhp 4.3 litre V8 along with the usual suspension refinements and cosmetic changes over the regular V8 Vantage.
To carry the Nurburgring link even further there are two new colours being released including Karussel Orange (left) and Bergwerk Black. Another reminder of the Ring can be found in the stitching of the centre console.
With claimed performance figures of 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 177mph the N400 won’t set any performance benchmarks for its class, but with a limted run, a beautifully styled body and that engine note it’s sure to find plenty of people willing to offer the £100K needed to get behind the wheel.

I wonder if this one is more comfortable than the N24 production version that Captain Slow drove on Top Gear…

You’d at least hope the air conditioning works so he wouldn’t have to drive in it naked!

No, but a quick Google search did reveal this:

Here is a nice Aston Martin promo clip from when the Vantage was first released. It’s a few years old now, but it does feature two of AUSringers favourite things … the Nordschleife and Sabine Schmitz!
