There’s now less than two weeks to go until the 2012 Nürburgring 24 hour race. And we reckon this video is just the thing to help get you right in the mood for a day at the Green Hell.

Nick Heidfeld is at the wheel of the Gemballa Racing McLaren MP4-12C GT3. The footage was filmed at the recent VLN race in late April and starts with some action around the track and pitlane before settling in for a full lap of the GP track and Nordschleife.

One thing is clear, these McLarens have some poke!

Heidfeld and his mates finished the race in sixth position. Soon afterwards Gemballa Racing confirmed the former F1 ace would be competing for them in the 24 hour race.
