Corvette ZR1 7:26 Nürburgring Nordschleife video

General Motors have just released their footage of the Corvette ZR1 lapping the Nürburgring in 7:26.4—that’s fast! How fast? Well, top speed is 179mph (288km/h) under the bridge into Tiergarten. Perhaps more impressive is topping 170mph (273km/h) into Schwedenkreuz. The descent into Fuchsröhre reached 160mph (257km/h). The slowest speed on the lap was 41mph (66km/h) at Wehrseifen. Jim Mero took the Corvette through the Karussell at 53mph (85km/h). According to Dale at bridgetogantry.com there’s some seconds to be gained with improved lines. This is most obvious on the exit from Schwalbenschwanz where things get a bit untidy and tail happy. The steering look damn light too! Anyway, enough rambling, just enjoy the clip.
